I remember my days as a school administrator. We would schedule professional development days for our staff members and hope that the training sessions were helpful. However, we couldn’t escape the nicknames that always hurt but also seemed appropriate for our trainings. Labels like “one and done” or “sit and get” seemed to describe our efforts. The sessions might have been meaningful at the time but too often the new learning didn’t impact the future performance of our staff.
During the 2017 year, over 60 clients participated in leadership training sessions through the Growth Coach program. Each of our programs include full day sessions and follow-up 1:1 coaching sessions. As we debrief with our clients, we hear them say that the trainings are helpful and the 1:1 coaching sessions link their learning to real world problems and issues.
As we approach the 2018 year, we are excited to continue our corporate work with companies like Click Rain, ReliaBank and POET. We also are opening a new Strategic Manager class that will begin on Thursday, January 11th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Country Club of Sioux Falls. This class will feature four full day sessions and eight 1:1 coaching sessions that will solidify the leadership training for our clients. The cost is a very affordable $2800 which can be paid in installments that are convenient for our clients.
We are learning more about the adult learning model. Application of new learning is the key.
