This year as the campaign season launches, we are so grateful for 11 years of amazing leaders taking part in the program. Our mindset is centered around ensuring the opportunity is available for 11 MORE years and beyond. From Day 1, the mission of Leadership South Dakota has been to connect with, and further develop leaders from every corner of the state. To foster this diversity of voices and participants in the Leadership South Dakota program, the need for scholarships is critical. Knowing this, the focus of the annual giving campaign is to increase scholarship funds in order to live out our mission and build for the next generation of SD leaders.
Funds raised will be utilized for these 3 key areas:
- Scholarships for course participants (40%)
- Travel and lodging stipends for course participants (40%)
- Alumni activities (20%)

Thank you for your support of the Annual Giving Campaign. In 2023, we surpassed our goal and raised over $41,000 to support our mission of Building the Next Generation of Leaders. Nine students in our current class received assistance thanks to your generosity last year.
Why You Should Give
In our new class of 2025 alone, nine students received assistance with tuition and travel stipends ensuring they could participate in the program without hesitation. That means each class that participated in the campaign help fund their leadership journey.
